BRAND NEW LIVE COMEDY AT THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE ALPINGTON

Shaft of Wit Comedy Nights are independent stand-up events that bring big-city comedy club headliners to intimate, local venues across East Anglia. Founded by comedian Kai Barron, the pop up shows appear in village venues and market town halls and aim to make quality live entertainment accessible right on people's doorsteps.

What To Expect at The Wheel Of Fortune.

We transform the venue into a pop up comedy club for the night with lights a stage, backdrop and PA system and invite top pro-level entertainers to make you laugh. The show is hosted by Shaft Of Wit comedy creator, Kai Barron. He will introduce the comedians and, if you are lucky, he may say something funny at some point.

The show is a two interval club-night format with three main comedians and an MC.

The three comedy sections are approximately 30 minutes long separated by two short intervals for refills and to stretch your legs.

Nigel “Boy” Syer is Norfolk’s beloved comedy treasure — a cheeky, musical storyteller whose trademark humour, accordion in hand, celebrates local life with infectious energy. A true regional icon, he brings joy, nostalgia and big laughs wherever he performs. He famously performed in Gorlseston Pavilion Summer Seasons for over 30 years .

Kai Barron

Kai has spent 20+ years bringing comedians to venues across the UK. He hosts smaller shows and brings a warm friendly energy to the room. Lower your expectations, he is only there to keep the ticket price down. If you are lucky, he may say something funny. Fortunately he knows when its time to leave and hand over to the professionals!
